THE RED VALENTINE

THE RED
VALENTINE

Australia, 1944… When a pair of young lovers are discovered dead, a tangled web of deception unravels, revealing that behind the passionate tragedy lies a dangerous truth.

The Red Valentine was borne as an opportunity of experimentation in style. Inspired by Film Noirs of the 40s & 50s and the machinations of the movies of David Fincher, I set about writing this short over the period of a year in between other work, and self financed it along with some very dear and generous friends. Shot over four days in an unseasonably cold week of spring, The Red Valentine only exists thanks to the efforts of MANY friends and colleagues who all dug deep to contribute to the end result.
